Well Child Visits

The kids had their well-child visits yesterday.  I NEVER do well at these things.  I can't stand to see them cry!  Kamryn FINALLY reached 30 pounds (she came so close a couple of months ago and then went back down).  She is 30.1 yay!  She was 38 inches tall so I was happy about that too since I know she won't completely drown in 3ft pools anymore.  She is at least tall enough that she can bounce on her toes to keep herself up until someone can get to her.  She is also more likely to be able to ride rides since that was a bit of a problem in Branson this year.  She is 53% in height and 32% in weight (no surprise there).  Her eyes are perfect and she seems to be right on target developmentally.  We are watching some OCD tendencies but of course you all know me and her doctor says we should just watch it until she is Kindergarten age.  She got two shots and was NOT happy!  She looked kind of like this ----------->
and of course made me cry!

Kaidyn... what can I say, he's a big boy!
He was 25.4 pounds (I know some of you are shocked because you thought he weighed more!) and 31 inches tall!  He was 98% in his height and 96% in his weight.  Surprisingly enough he was not off the charts! I felt so much better to hear that he is just as high (or higher actually) in his height as he was his weight.  He is just plain and simple a big boy!  Doctor says his development is right on target.  He is pulling up and standing and should easily be walking before he is a year old.  She said that the fact he will no longer eat baby food and wants table food is not a problem as long as we try to incorporate alot of fruits and veggies and do not use sugar/preservatives!  She even said since he has gone down to two bottles a day that we should substitute one of the glasses of juice he has during the day with whole milk as long as we continue whatever formula he will drink.  He got FIVE shots! and of course since Neal and I had an agreement that I would deal with Kamryn and he will deal with Kaidyn he didn't cry at all until the last one and that was only long enough for Neal to pick him up.  It's unfair I tell ya! Then Neal got to go to work and Kaidyn decided he would whine and want to be held all day.  He is better today!

So they are both perfect (as if I didn't already know)! Now I'm gearing up for Kamryn to start school next Monday when I will look more like that picture of her above!  I'm sure I'll have a rather lengthy post on that day!
